HAM AND ESCALLOPED POTATOES 
1/2 c. sliced raw potatoes
1 tsp. grated onions
1/2 c. scalded whole milk
2 (1 oz.) slices thinly sliced ham
Salt & pepper as desired

Using a small piece of fat from the ham, grease as an individual baking dish, arrange half of the potato slices in the bottom of the dish. Sprinkle with half of the onion and season sparingly with salt and pepper. Add the ham and cover with the remaining potatoes and onions. Add the milk. If it is too much for the dish add the remainder during cooking. Cover the dish and bake at 350 degrees until the potatoes are thoroughly cooked and slightly browned on top, about 20 minutes.
