3/4 c. butter flavored Crisco
2 tbsp. milk
1 egg
1 tsp. salt
1 c. chocolate chips
1 1/4 c. brown sugar
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 3/4 c. flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 c. chopped walnuts or pecans

Beat Crisco, sugar, milk and vanilla with egg. Sift and add flour, salt and soda. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by spoonfuls onto cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Makes 3 dozen cookies.
