Scant c. butter (2 sticks butter less 2 tbsp.)
5 rounded tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. water
2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. finely chopped nuts

Cream butter and sugar. Add water and flour alternately. Add vanilla and nuts. Mix well. Form into crescents. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 300 degrees F. for 30 minutes or until slightly browned. Cool a bit, roll in powdered sugar. They are pretty rolled in red and green colored sugars.
