HOPE'S BREAD 
3/4 c. Crisco
3 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. salt

Dissolve in 2 cups boiling water. Cool and sift in sifter full of flour. Dissolve live yeast in 1/2 cup warm water. Add 1 teaspoon sugar. Add the active yeast to the flour mixture and beat well. Keep adding sifted flour, until mixture is firm enough to be kneaded.

Knead on floured board until texture is shiny. Return dough to bowl and let it rise double its bulk. Make into loaves or rolls and put in greased pans. Let rise again. Bake 45 minutes in 350 degree oven
