DIRTY RICE 
1/4 c. spaghettini
1 c. rice
1 can diced or sliced mushrooms
4 tsp. butter
1 onion, sliced
1 tsp. salt
1 c. water
2 beef or chicken bouillon cubes

Melt butter in a 2 quart pot. (Be sure that the pot has a tight fitting lid.) Add spaghettini. Cook until spaghettini is brown. Add bouillon cubes, mash and mix. Add salt, rice and water, stirring to mix all ingredients. Put onion slices and mushrooms on top and bring to a boil. Cover and cook on low until rice is done. After about 10 minutes, stir. Cooking time is about 45 minutes. Serves 4.
