ROUND STEAK (DEBRECZEN HAUS) 
2-3 lbs. round steak
1 lg. onion, thinly sliced
1 1/2 c. water
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp. paprika
2 tbsp. bacon fat

SAUCE:

1 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. flour
1 c. strained broth

Put bacon fat in pan and add the onions and cook until onions are slightly soft. Wash off your meat, wipe the meat and add it to the onions, pour over it 1 1/2 cups water.

Add the salt, pepper, and paprika. Bring to boiling point and cook meat until tender. Each piece will be different. Remove steak to a hot platter and strain the stock. Make the sauce by browning the butter, then adding the flour mixing well and then slowly add the broth. Pour the sauce over the steak and you make sprinkle with paprika for color.
