CHRISTMAS MORNING BREAKFAST
CASSEROLE
 
6 slices white bread or low-carb wheat
butter
1 lb. pork sausage
2 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
6 eggs, beaten
2 c. half and half
1 tsp. salt

Remove crusts from bread and spread with butter. Place them side by side in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Brown sausage and crumble; drain. Layer over bread slices. Sprinkle with cheese. Combine eggs, half and half and salt and mix well. Cover and chill Christmas Eve night.

Bake, uncovered, Christmas morning at 350°F for 40 to 55 minutes.

Note: This is an easy breakfast for a busy morning.

Yield: 8 servings.
