TERIYAKI MARINADE 
1/2 c. shoyu sauce (or soy sauce)
2 c. water or stock
1/2 cup (or less) sugar
2 tbsp. Mirin (sweet saki) or white wine
2 1/2 tsp. grated or powdered ginger
4 tsp. garlic
3 tsp. sesame seeds
Chopped green onions to taste

Mix all ingredients making certain sugar is dissolved.
