RUSSIAN TEA CAKES | |
1 c. butter (2 sticks) butter, softened 1/2 c. powdered sugar 2 c. flour 1 tsp. vanilla extract 1/4 tsp. salt 1 c. chopped walnuts Powdered sugar Beat together butter and 1/2 cup sugar until creamy and fluffy. Gradually mix in flour. Stir in vanilla, salt and walnuts. Using level tablespoon of dough, shape into balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheets and bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes or until light brown on bottom. Remove from cookie sheets and cool. Roll in powdered sugar. Makes about 2 to 3 dozen. |
