VEGETABLE ZUCCHINI SOUP 
1/2 lb. bacon, cut in 1/2 inch strips
1 green pepper, chopped in chunks
1 med. onion, chopped
3 c. celery
2 (4 oz.) can mushrooms or fresh
1 qt. tomatoes or 2 lg. cans
1 sm. can tomato sauce
1 lg. zucchini or 5-6 sm. unpeeled but seeded
1 c. water
1/2 tsp. season all
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 tsp. basil
1 tsp. sugar

Fry bacon in large kettle. Add ingredients in order given. Cook 35 minutes or until zucchini is tender.
