1 c. raisins
1 whole orange
1 c. nuts
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cloves, allspice and cinnamon
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. buttermilk

Mix first 3 ingredients, set 1/2 aside. Mix all other ingredients and add first three ingredients. Bake at 350 for 40 to 60 minutes in a greased and floured pan.
