FROM SCRATCH BROWNIES 
1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
3/4 c. flour
1/2 c. chocolate
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Blend melted butter, sugar, vanilla, and eggs. In separate bowl, mix flour, chocolate, baking powder, and salt. Fold egg mixture into flour.

Put in greased pan, bake at 350°F until a toothpick inserted in center comes out with dryish crumbs (about 45 minutes). Do not overbake or brownies will be dry!

Hi Danny,

Yes you can use a dark chocolate bar, but a semi-sweet chocolate bar meant for baking will with a high chocolate liqueur percentage will give best results.
