CHINESE CHEWS 
1 1/2 stick butter
2 c. brown sugar (packed)
1 1/2 c. plain flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs
1 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Soften butter in bowl. Add sugar to butter. Add flour, nuts, eggs and vanilla. (Beat after each addition.) Pour in greased pan and bake for 25 minutes. Let stand and cool for 1 hour before cutting. Mix all ingredients and pour on cake.
