MULLIGAN STEW 
2 lb. diced, trimmed lamb meat floured
2 medium diced onions
6 large potatoes diced
8 large carrots diced
4 turnips diced (secret ingredient)
1 jar home canned tomatoes
salt & pepper to taste
water to cover

Fry floured meat until brown, drain and discard fat.

Add all ingredients except the potatoes, cover with water and simmer for several hours, preferably on the back of a coal stove. Add potatoes the last half hour before serving.

Serve hot with fresh hot homemade bread. What a feast!
