TOMATO PUDDING COCKAIGNE 
Serves 6 to 8.

1 (10 oz.) can tomato puree
1/4 c. boiling water
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 to 1/2 c. butter

In a 9 inch baking dish place 2 cups fresh bread cut in 1 inch squares. Pour over bread the butter, melted. Add tomato mixture. Cover casserole and bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes.
