RAILROAD CORNBREAD PIE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 can tomato soup
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1 tbsp. chili powder
1 c. whole kernel corn, drained
1 lg. onion, chopped
2 c. water
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. green pepper, chopped

Brown meat and onion in pan, add other ingredients. Turn into casserole dish. Mix 3/4 cup self-rising meal, 1 tablespoon sugar, 1 tablespoon flour, 1 egg, 1/2 cup milk and 1 tablespoon cooking oil. Mix well and drop by spoon over mixture. Bake in oven at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until bread is brown.
