STUFFED BAKED FRANKS | |
1 pkg. (5 to 6 lg.) frankfurters 1/4 c. minced onion 1 tbsp. butter 2 c. herb seasoned stuffing mix 3/4 c. water 1/4 c. catsup 1 tbsp. sweet pickle relish 3 slices (3 oz.) American cheese, cut into strips Make up ahead. Cut franks lengthwise almost to opposite side. Cook onions in butter until tender. Combine stuffing mix, onion, water, catsup and relish, mix well. Mound stuffing atop franks. Place on baking sheet. Cover and chill until serving time. Bake in 400 degree oven for 10 to 15 minutes. top franks with cheese strips, return to oven and heat 3 minutes longer until cheese melts. Serves 5 to 6. |
