I found this dip very bland, so I added a bit of cocktail sauce. It made a huge difference.

Big hit at our Thanksgiving feast. I reduced garlic to 2 cloves. Bowl was cleaned out in 20 minutes. Will make sour cream/mayo combo 50/50 and add 1 tsp of horseradish next time.

Great dip. Used for a girls night out and it was gone. I used less cream cheese because I didn't have too much in my fridge. Also used just a small amount of mayo and added more crab. Very good appetizer if you play with it enough and make it your own.

My family love it, they said it was all that I agree. I used potato chips and butter crackers. Thank you sooooo much!

This recipe is fabulous except I use less mayo and heat for approx. 10 - 15 min at 350°F in oven.

This dip was just ok. Next time, I'll cut in half the mayo and add more crab. Between the mayo, cream cheese and sour cream it was all cream and no crab. I'll also add more tabasco sauce.

Just me, but all I could taste was the mayo and nothing else.

Great recipe! I've sold a ton of this in our restaurant. For an upscale appetizer, slice long wheat bread on a bias, spread on crab dip, top with provalone and a sprinkle of cayenne, and toast in the oven. Fabulous!

Can I use lobster instead of crab?

Hi Briana,

Lobster would be great in this recipe. For the most part, lobster and crab meat are interchangeable.

Great recipe! I omitted the Old Bay seasoning since I didn't have it and forgot the salt and it still tasted great!

Everybody loves this recipe! The only thing that I do a little different is that I whip the cream cheese. I then add the rest of the ingredients. Its much easier to dip...but it does go faster! Thanks for the great recipe!
