"DIP" (FOR THOSE SPECIAL
OCCASIONS)
 
1 pkg. frozen chopped spinach
1 c. mayonnaise
1 c. sour cream
1 can chopped water chestnuts
1 pkg. Knorr's vegetable dip
2 to 3 chopped scallions
1 loaf of rounded dark bread

STEP 1: Cook and thoroughly drain spinach.

STEP 2: Chop scallions and water chestnuts and mix with drained spinach.

STEP 3: Add sour cream, mayonnaise and vegetable dip. Stir together and chill.

STEP 4: Take bread and slice off the very top to give the appearance of a bowl with cover.

STEP 5: Scoop out the bread inside and save the pieces to use with the dip.

STEP 6: Fill the bread "bowl" with the dip and surround it with the pieces of bread. Serve!

Probably my favorite dip of all... just so delicious, and visually appealing as well. I made it for Christmas one year and set the large pumpernickel round on a huge gold serving platter that I had bought at a party store. Filled it with the dip and surrounded it with red, green, and white fresh veggies (cherry tomatoes, red and green bell pepper strips, broccoli, celery sticks, cauliflower, and whole white mushrooms), and the bread chunks of course, and a lot of people thought I'd had it catered! :-)
