COTTAGE CHEESE DILLY BREAD (MOM
BURRIS' OWN)
 
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/4 c. warm water
1 c. creamed cottage cheese, heated to lukewarm
1 tsp. dill seed
1 tbsp. instant dry onion
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 egg, beaten
2 1/4 to 2 1/2 c. white flour

Dissolve yeast in warm water. In a mixing bowl, combine cottage cheese, sugar, onion, butter, dill seed, salt, egg, soda; then stir in yeast and water. Gradually add flour to form a stiff dough. d

Knead for about 10 minutes on a floured board, place in a greased bowl, turning once to coat top and bottom. Place in a warm spot and allow to double, about an hour. Punch down. Place into a greased baking pan and allow to double again. Bake 40 to 60 minutes in a preheated 350 degree oven. Will bake to a golden brown.
