DANISH COFFEE CAKE 
1 c. flour
2 tbsp. cold water
1 stick butter
1/2 c. butter
1 c. water
1 tsp. almond extract
3 eggs

Mix well the first three ingredients as in pie dough. Form into ball, divide in half and spread each ball on ungreased cookie sheet, 12 x 3 each. Put 1/2 cup butter and 1 cup water in pan; bring to boil until butter is melted. Remove from heat; add flour and extract all at once. Stir quickly until all is smooth and leaves sides of pan. Beat in eggs, one at a time, until mixture is smooth and glossy. Spread mixture over each piece of pastry.

Bake at 350°F for 1 hour.

This will fall as it cools. Frost with powdered sugar and almond frosting. Sprinkle with nuts.
