1/2 c. water 1/3 c. light corn syrup 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. chopped nuts 1 pkg. fluffy white frosting mix 1 pkg. (16 oz.) powdered sugar Heat water just to boiling in saucepan over medium-high heat. Pour the boiling water into small mixer bowl. Add the frosting mix, corn syrup and vanilla. Beat on high speed until stiff peaks form, about 5 minutes. Turn off mixer occasionally and scrape the side of the bowl with a rubber spatula. Empty the mixture into a large mixer bowl and gradually beat in the powdered sugar on low speed. Stir in 1 cup chopped nuts. Drop the mixture by teaspoonfuls about 1 inch apart onto waxed paper. Let stand until the surface of the candies feel firm. Turn them over and let stand at least 12 hours to dry. |
