MOMMA BEAL'S BANANA NUT BREAD | |
![]() 2 cups white flour 1/2 tsp. salt 2 eggs 2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened 1 1/2 cups ripe mashed bananas 1 cup sugar 3/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans Sift flour with baking powder and salt. Cream butter, gradually beat in sugar. Add an egg at a time, beating well after each addition. Add mashed bananas, mix well. Blend in sifted ingredients. Fold in nuts. Pour into greased 9x5x3-inch loaf pan. Bake at 325°F for 1 hour and 25 minutes. Serve warm or cold with butter. Submitted by: Jessica Beal |
