RING-O-CHOCOLATE LOGS | |
3/4 c. corn syrup 3/4 c. sugar 3/4 c. peanut butter 4 1/2 c. Rice Krispies 1 pkg. (12 oz.) chocolate chips Measure corn syrup and sugar into large saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves and mixture bubbles. Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter. Mix well. Add Rice Krispies cereal. Stir until well coated. Press warm cereal mixture evenly and firmly in buttered 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1 inch pan. Spread melted chocolate evenly over cereal mixture, almost to edges. Sprinkle peanuts evenly over chocolate. Cut cereal mixture in half crosswise. Starting with cut edge, roll each half jelly roll fashion to form two logs. Wrap each log tightly in waxed paper. Refrigerate until firm. Remove from refrigerator. Let stand 15 minutes. Cut into 1/2 inch slices to serve. |
