SNICKERDOODLES 
1 c. soft shortening
1 1/2 c. white sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix shortening, sugar and eggs together thoroughly. Sift flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt together. Mix together.

Roll into balls, the size of small walnuts; use small cookie dipper. Roll in mixture of sugar and cinnamon.

Place about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 350°F.
