FRENCH DRESSING 
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. paprika
1/4 tsp. dry mustard
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/3 c. vinegar
2/3 c. Crisco oil

Combine dry ingredients in a jar or bottle with a tight-fitting cover. Add vinegar and oil; shake vigorously. For variety, add 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion, or 1/4 cup shredded cheese, or 1/4 cup crumbled roquefort or blue cheese. Makes about 1 cup.
