STRAWBERRY SENSATION | |
1 Duncan Hines yellow cake mix 2 eggs 1 (8 oz.) carton LaCreme whipped topping 1 qt. strawberries 1 Duncan Hines vanilla frosting CAKE: Mix, bake, and cool cake as directed on the package, using the lite recipe and adding 1 cup LaCreme. Bake in 8 or 9-inch round cake pans. FILLING: Mix 1 cup coarsely chopped strawberries with 3/4 cup LaCreme. Spread filling between cake layers. FROSTING: Frost sides and top of cake with Duncan Hines frosting. Slice remaining strawberries. Starting at outer edge of cake, arrange sliced berries in a circle on top of cake. After first circle is completed, continue placing berries in this manner until top is covered. Garnish with remaining LaCreme. Refrigerate until ready to serve. |
