GRAPEFRUIT SLUSH
2 c. sugar
4 c. water
2 c. strained grapefruit juice

Cook sugar and water until sugar dissolves. Add juice. Pour into containers and freeze stirring occasionally. When frozen, scrape with spoon into sherbet glasses or small Chinese cups. Very refreshing, great in warm weather, but melts rapidly, so serve immediately.

DIETITIAN'S NOTE:

Fruit slushes are a refreshing treat in any season and they offer a nutritious, lower calorie dessert. Try reducing the sugar to one cup or using apple juice concentrate instead. Add concentrate until desired sweetness is obtained.
