PAPRIKAS CAREKE
1 1/2 lbs. chicken, cut up
1 med. onion, chopped
2 tbsp. cooking oil or butter
1 tsp. paprika
1 c. water
1/4 c. sour cream
Salt to taste

NUCKERLE (Egg Drop Noodles) :
1 1/2 c. flour
2 eggs
1/4 c. milk
1/4 tsp. salt

Saute lightly the onions with the cooking oil. Add chicken, water and cover with paprika. Cover and simmer 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until thoroughly tender. Check and stir periodically. Add water if necessary. After chicken is cooked, remove from pan and blend in sour cream to make gravy.

FOR NOODLES: While chicken is cooking, prepare the following. Thoroughly mix the eggs, flour and milk in a deep dish. In a 2 quart saucepan, bring water to a boil. Add salt to water. Hold the dish with the dough over the edge of the boiling water (be careful of the steam) and with a teaspoon, cut a small amount of dough and dip the spoon with the dough into the water. Continue until all the dough is used. Stir occasionally. Cook until the "noodles" rise to the top, normally 10 minutes. Drain in a colander and rinse lightly.

Serve the chicken, noodles and gravy with the vegetables of your choice.
