APPLE PAN DOWDY 
Juice of 1 sm. lemon
3 cooking apples, peeled, cored & sliced
1/3 c. brown sugar
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. grated lemon peel
1 pkg. (10 biscuits) canned, refrigerated biscuits

Pour lemon juice over prepared apples and sprinkle on sugar, spices and grated lemon rind. Gently toss. Butter an 8" pie plate. Cover with apple mixture, layer the biscuits over the apples. Bake 35 to 40 minutes in preheated 350 degree oven or until apples are tender and crust is golden brown.
