APPLE-OAT BREAD 
1 1/2 c. quick cooking or old-fashioned oats, uncooked
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. honey
1/4 c. salad oil
3 med. unpeeled green cooking apples, diced (about 1 1/4 lbs.)
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. ground allspice
1/2 c. skim milk
3 egg whites

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 inch loaf pan. In large bowl, mix oats, flour, soda, cinnamon, and allspice.

In small bowl, beat honey, milk, oil, and egg whites until blended; stir into flour mixture just until flour is moistened; batter will be lumpy. Fold in apples. Spoon batter evenly into loaf pan. Bake 65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack for 10 minutes. Remove from pan. Cool bread completely on wire rack.
