4 egg whites
1 c. light corn syrup
1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. vanilla

Combine egg whites, sugar, syrup, and salt in upper part of double boiler. Beat with mixer until partially mixed. Set pan over rapidly boiling water; cook 5-7 minutes, beating constantly with mixer until frosting stands in peaks.

Remove pan from hot water; continue beating about 1 minute. Add vanilla and beat in to mix well.

Very good frosting for Coconut Cake.
