STRING BEAN WITH MEAT 
1 lb. green string beans
1/2 lb. ground beef or lamb
1 green bell pepper, sliced
Salt to taste
Red hot pepper to taste
1 (1 lb.) can Italian plum tomatoes, chopped
4 cloves garlic, slivered
Black pepper to taste

Wash and trim the green beans. Slice in half lengthwise; set aside.

In a pan, saute the meat over low heat, stirring about 15 minutes or until brown. Add the green beans, bell pepper, red pepper and salt. Simmer for another 15 minutes. Pour in the tomatoes and garlic. Cover and cook about 2 hours or until tender. Sprinkle with the black pepper. Serve with pilaf.
