WARM LEMON SAUCE FOR BREAD
PUDDING
 
1/3 c. sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
Grated lemon peel
Dash of salt
Dash of nutmeg
3/4 c. water
Juice of 1 lemon
1 tbsp. butter

In a small saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch, salt, and nutmeg. Gradually blend in water, lemon peel, and juice. Add butter. Cook, over low flame, stirring until thickened.
