1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. vinegar
1/2 c. (1/4 lb.) melted butter

Sift dry ingredients into 8 inch square cake pan. Add rest. Pour 1 cup warm water over all and mix well with fork. Make sure corners are mixed. Bake at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour. No need to grease pan because of all butter used.
