FRUIT COCKTAIL CAKE 
2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
Pinch of salt
2 eggs
1 can (#303) fruit cocktail

Sift flour, soda, and salt together 3 times. Beat eggs and sugar, add to flour mixture, then add can of fruit cocktail. Beat well. Put in well greased pan 9 x 12 inches.

SECOND STEP:

1 c. brown sugar
1 c. chopped nuts

Sprinkle mixture over batter. Bake at 300 degrees for about 1 hour.

TOPPING FOR CAKE (OPTIONAL) :

1 c. white sugar
3/4 stick butter
3/4 c. evaporated milk
1/2 c. shredded coconut

Boil this mixture for 1/2 minute. When cake is baked and cooled, add this topping.
