CHICKEN AND RICE 
1 chicken (cut up and browned)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 onion, chopped
salt and pepper, to taste
1/2 pkg. dry onion soup mix
1 c. cream of chicken soup mixed with 1 can milk
1 c. cooked rice

Put cooked rice, dry soup mix, salt and pepper, onion and garlic in a buttered casserole.

Brown chicken and put on top of rice mixture. Mix cream of chicken soup with 1 can of milk and pour over all.

Bake at 350°F until chicken is tender.

If you add a layer of breadcrumbs for the last 20 min it adds a nice texture. Also try adding some black pepper t soup mix if using the generic brand.
