STEAK SOUP 
1 1/2 lb. ground chuck, browned
1 stick butter, melted
1 c. flour
7 c. water
1 c. celery, sliced
1 c. onion, chopped
1 c. carrots, shredded coarsely
1 pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
2 lb. can tomatoes
4 tbsp. BV (liquid beef concentrate)

Brown ground chuck, remove from pan. Melt butter, blend flour into butter for a white sauce. Add water so it won't lump. Then rest of ingredients. Simmer until done. Some do all day. Freezes well.
