SWEET & SOUR RED CABBAGE 
1 sm. head red cabbage
2 tart apples, cored & sliced
1 c. water
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. unsalted butter
2 tbsp. cider vinegar
1 tbsp. honey
1/2 tsp. caraway seeds
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 c. cold water

Wash cabbage, chop coarsely and discard the core.

In a large saucepan combine cabbage, water, pepper and butter. Cook, covered until cabbage is tender crisp, about 10 minutes. Add apples and cook 3 to 4 minutes, until they are soft. Add vinegar, honey and caraway seeds and stir. Dissolve cornstarch in cold water and stir into cabbage mixture. Simmer over low heat until sauce bubbles and thickens, about 1 minute.
