FRENCH BREAD FOR PARTIES 
1/2 lb. butter
1 med. onion, finely chopped
2 tbsp. poppy seed
Thin slices of Swiss cheese, size of bread slices
1 loaf French bread

Slice bread in desired size of servings. Don't slice completely through bread. Melt butter and mix with onion and poppy seed. Spread over bread slices. Place slice of cheese on top of butter. Wrap loaf in foil and bake 15-20 minutes at 350 degrees F.
