MILE HIGH MERINGUE | |
3 egg whites 2 1/2 tbsp. cold water 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar 1/4 tsp. vanilla 1/8 tsp. salt 3 tbsp. granulated sugar Beat egg whites into a good sized bowl. Add cold water and beat till frothy. Then add cream of tartar, vanilla and salt. Beat until stiff. Add granulated sugar and beat to stiff peaks form when beaters are lifted. Pile onto pie and be sure to spread all the way to the crust edges. Bake 12 minutes or till brown in 325°F oven. |
