HAMBURGER VEGETABLE SOUP 
1 1/2 lbs. hamburger
1 lb. carrots, sliced
Lg. can tomatoes
5 potatoes, diced
1 onion, chopped
2 stalks celery, chopped
Cabbage as desired
1 can tomato juice
2 tsp. salt
Pepper to taste
1 can corn, drained
1 can peas, drained

Brown hamburger. Drain off excess grease. Add carrots, tomatoes, potatoes, onion, celery, cabbage, tomato juice, salt and pepper. Stir. Add enough water to cover plus 1 inch. Simmer covered 2 hours stirring occasionally. Add corn and peas then simmer another 1/2 hour or until the vegetables are done. Add more water if necessary.
