COTTAGE CHEESE DILL BREAD | |
2 pkgs. dry yeast 1/2 c. warm water 2 tsp. sugar 2 c. cottage cheese 2 tbsp. minced onion 2 tbsp. dill weed 1/4 tsp. ginger 1 tsp. baking powder 2 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. sugar 2 eggs 4 1/2 c. flour Sprinkle yeast on warm water, stir until blended. Stir in 2 teaspoons sugar and set aside. Mix cottage cheese, onion, dill, baking powder, salt, 2 tablespoons sugar and eggs. Mix well and add yeast mixture. Add flour to make stiff dough. Knead until smooth and elastic, place in well greased bowl. Cover and place in warm spot until double in size. Punch down, turn out, knead a few times. Divide shape into well greased pans. Loaf or miniature loaf. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Remove from pan(s) to rack to cool. |
