RAISIN PIE
2 1/4 c. brown sugar
3 tbsp. flour
Boiling water
1/2 lb. raisins
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix sugar and flour well in a frying pan. Heat and stir to caramelize. Add boiling water gradually, stirring constantly. Mixture is cooked when sauce drips off spoon. If mixture is not thick enough, mix flour and water in a jar and add gradually until mixture is the desired consistency.

When cooked, add raisins, butter, and vanilla, stirring constantly at a hard boil. Let cool before putting into pie shells. If sauce is not thick enough, put some flour in the bottom of the crusts. Cook in 400 degree oven for about 1/2 hour.
