QUICK MOIST CHOCOLATE CAKE 
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 stick butter
1/2 c. vegetable shortening
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. water
1/2 c. buttermilk (or milk)
2 eggs
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda

Mix flour and sugar together in large bowl. Place butter, shortening, cocoa, water in a saucepan; bring to a rapid boil; stirring. Pour into flour and sugar mixture; mix well. Add the remaining ingredients saving soda until last; mix well. The sooner you get the cake into the oven after adding the soda the better the cake. Pour into greased 13x9 inch pan. Bake 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

ICING:

1 stick butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
6 tbsp. milk
1 box powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pecans
1 c. flaked coconut

Five minutes before cake is done, place butter in saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add remaining ingredients. Beat well; spread on hot cake.
