GREEN TOMATO RELISH 
4 qt. green tomatoes
1 pt. finely cut onions
1 pt. finely chopped green or red peppers

Cover with water; add 1 cup salt. Boil 1 hour then drain and add equal parts of water and vinegar. Add the following spices: 1 oz. celery seed 1 oz. mustard 1 tbsp. ground cloves 2 c. brown sugar

Cook 1 hour and fill into sterilized jars. Seal and store in cool dry place.
