FRENCH FRIED SHRIMP 
Mix:

1 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. sugar
1 c. ice water
1 slightly beaten egg
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
2 lbs. shrimp

Dry shrimp well. Dip into above mixture. Fry in hot deep fat until golden. Drain on paper towels.
