1 c. shortening
2 c. packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. water
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
3 c. cut up gum drops

Mix all ingredients. Chill for 1 hour. Drop from teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes at 400 degrees.
