GRANDMOMMIE'S GUM DROP BARS 
1 lb. candy orange slices
2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 lb. (3 c.) light brown sugar
4 eggs, slightly beaten
1 c. chopped pecans
1 tsp. vanilla

Cut orange slices into small pieces with scissors dipped in ice water. Add flour and salt. Mix. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well. Spread into two greased 9 x 9 x 2 inch pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Remove, place on rack to cool. Cut into squares or pieces. Keep in sealed container in ice box. The flavor improves with age! Try them!
