SWEET AND SOUR CABBAGE 
4 slices bacon
1 sm. onion, diced
2 c. water
1/2 c. mild vinegar
1 head cabbage, shredded
2 heaping tsp. sugar

Cook bacon until crisp, crumble and add onion. Saute until transparent. Add vinegar, water, sugar and cabbage. Bring to boil and boil 10 minutes. Reduce heat to simmer. Simmer 2 hours.
